Domaine Jafflin is a medium sized Burgundy domaine founded in 1954, and today numbers 17 hectares. Remy Jafflin is in charge of the winemaking and day to day running of the estate.
In 2021 they achieved HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) status , which guarantees an environmentally friendly approach in the vineyards with minimal chemical inputs
Their Nuits-Saint-Georges is 100% Pinot Noir, which undergoes a cold soak before a 3 week fermentation with punching down and pumping over. The wines is then aged in mainly old French barriques for 16 months with just a light filtration before bottling.
This silky expression of Nuits St Georges, with intriguing notes of game and spice emerging with air, to compliment the vibrant core of raspberry fruit. Already drinking well and will improve further over the next 4-5 years
