This is one of the entry-level wines from the legendary Gaja estate, but it’s still incredibly delightful and you would expect from one of Italy’s most illustrious wineries. It combines Nebbiolo from the Barbaresco region with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, resulting in a rich blend. On the nose, there are seductive tones of redcurrant and cassis, as well as some intriguing spicy and herbal notes. Ripe fruits are accompanied by rich spice, smoke, and cedar on the palate, which is full, silky, and juicy. Overall, it’s bright and lively, with silky tannins and subtle acidity.
