Champagne saw its coldest year in 14 years in 2008, and the region also experienced its least sunny year in nearly 50 years. The fruit was intense, graceful, and exquisitely constructed in these conditions. The intricacy of the vines’ heterogeneity was further enhanced by the whole range of flavours and smells that were detected during harvest.

Fresh goat’s cheese and candied citrus underline the Champagne’s beautiful freshness, while a lemon meringue tart makes for a perfectly paired dessert.

Nose: The nose reveals an expressive bouquet of ginger, candied citrus and quince, balanced by mineral and light notes.

Palate: The palate, vivid and crisp at the start, opens up to rich notes evoking lemon meringue tart. The finish is delicate with a lasting sensation of lightness.
