Latitude Muscat De Beaumes-de-Venise Half Bottle 2016

Brought to us from the team behind the leading organic winery Chateau La Croix des Pins, this is the famous lightly fortified sweet white wine of the region, made from Muscat a Petit Grains grown in the famous Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range on the eastern edge of the Southern Rhone valley. Late picked very ripe organic Muscat grapes are fortified to 15% ABV once the remaining sugar has fermented down to around 100 g/l, stabilising and freshening the wine, which is then aged in stainless steel tanks for a period before relase. A floral nose dominated by fresh rose and apricot. Also notes of candied lemon and honey, with a deeper hint of marmalade from a little bottle age. A refreshing sweet wine at home with fruit-based desserts and cheeses.
