Mount Gay Origins Series Vol. 2 The Copper Stills Rum

In volume two of The Origin Series, our Master Blender tells the story of two different methods of distillation: ‘The Copper Stills’ presents a pair of rums, identical in ingredients, fermentation and maturity, but differentiated by distillation; one refined by copper column still, the other by copper pot still.

Typically, the signature aromas of Mount Gay are achieved through the careful blending of these two distillates. Now though, for the first time in Mount Gay’s history, Allen Smith has chosen two archetypical examples of each to demonstrate the individual characteristics imparted by the two.
