Robert Ampeau Meursault 1er Cru Perrières 2002

Michel Ampeau is a rarity in Burgundy, only releasing his wines when fully mature, from his incredible stock of back vintages. Perrieres is regarded as the best of the Meursault premier crus and this has a compelling nose of grilled nuts, lemon curd, orange rind, ginger and nougat flecked with honey, with savoury mineral notes. Full bodied yet precise with a line of fresh acidity powering through the long finish.
